Wizard - Harry Potter Theme Party Food Ideas

Wizard - Harry Potter Theme Party Food Ideas #1: Bugs in Green Slime – make two batches of green jello (Jello brand now has a great green apple flavor) being careful to pour the hot liquid jello in a long, shallow cookie pan (making a thin layer of jello). Once the jello has cooled, use a spatula to scrape the jello away into a bowl, mashing the jello as needed to make it good and gooey. Finally, add gummi worms and spiders to the bowl. This is great served in a large bowl with the guests lined up to get a ‘dallop’ plopped on their plate or in their bowl.

Wizard - Harry Potter Theme Party Food Ideas #2: Instead of plates, serve the food on pie tins for a more Medieval feel.

Wizard - Harry Potter Theme Party Food Ideas #3: If a full course meal is provided, have the menu printed nicely on some parchment paper and made readily seen to guests before they dine. This can also be blown up on very large sheets of paper as well.

Wizard - Harry Potter Theme Party Food Ideas #4: Before the punch is served, have someone come out (preferably in a wizard’s costume) with a bottle (the neatest one you can find) that is filled with water. Put a label on it and mark it ‘Dragon’s Tears’ – which are to offer the drinker extended youth. Pour some of the water into the punch and give it a stir. Depending on the color of the punch, you can color the water (however, don’t mix complementary colors – yellow/purple, red/green or blue/orange – as they will create a brownish color with mixed together – unless you want a brown color, that is…)

Wizard - Harry Potter Theme Party Food Ideas #5: Colorful bottles can be purchased at your local craft store or artificial flower distributor. Fill these with a nice fruit wine or juice and place each on a table to allow the guests to fill up at their leisure during the meal.

Wizard - Harry Potter Theme Party Food Ideas #6: Giant turkey legs can be purchased at your local larger super markets. These are great fun to serve (and even more fun to watch everyone try to eat them!) Great for a real Medieval feel!

Wizard - Harry Potter Theme Party Food Ideas #7: For a creative punch bowl, use a trick-or-treat pumpkin or plastic cauldron.

Wizard - Harry Potter Theme Party Food Ideas #8: Fantastic apple cider! Don’t have a five generation old recipe for tasty wizard apple cider? Well, then, you’ll love this. Buy any brand of apple cider (store brand is fine) and heat it in a large pot on the stove. While it is heating up, drop in some red hot candies and stir. Allow the flavor of the candy to mix with the cider. I guarantee you, everyone will be talking about how great it tastes and will all be trying to guess that one flavor that they recognize, but can’t exactly put their fingers on!
