Depending on your personal tastes in food (as well as your guests) choosing those fun edibles for your Arabian theme party can either be easy or difficult. A typical Arabian menu might be a bit adventurous for some. Here are some ideas for creating a great Arabian feel with your food that everyone can enjoy…with a few surprises, as well.
Arabian / Aladdin Theme Party Food Ideas #1: Place small bowls of dried fruits and nuts around your party area. These look nice and are great for your guests to munch on. Make sure to provide small cocktail napkins next to the bowls of dried fruit as they can sometime leave one’s fingers a little sticky

Arabian / Aladdin Theme Party Food Ideas #2: Large bowls of fruit in baskets look great as decoration…and also provide food for your guests! Be sure to use fruits that are common to the region such as olives, oranges, figs/dates, bananas, apricots, apples, melons, etc. If your guests aren’t sure whether or not they are allowed to eat the fruit, you might need to grab one yourself to model that it’s ok and that they are encouraged to enjoy them. Arabian / Aladdin Theme Party Food Ideas #3: Here’s a fun idea that can have multiple applications. Before your cake or cupcakes are frosted, push a plastic coin or small ‘treasure’ into the cake. Once frosted, whatever ‘disruption’ you created on top will be covered and unnoticed. You can either offer a prize for different kinds of items hidden in different cupcakes or offer a prize to the ONE person who received the cupcake with the prize inside. |

In this way you’ll create a small oasis from which your party guests can refresh themselves. For larger party spaces, you can even create a sign naming the oasis. Arabian / Aladdin Theme Party Food Ideas #5: Depending on your budget and how adventurous your guests are, camel, crocodile and snake meat can be purchased online and sometimes at your local Middle Eastern markets. It is likely that the meat is too pricey to create any large dish from the meat, however allowing enough for each guest to try a bite sized hors’ doeuvres with the meat can be quite exciting! It would be more for novelty and can really add some zing to the spirit of the party! |
